Induction Assisted Hybrid Friction Stir Welding of Dissimilar Materials AA5052 Aluminium Alloy and X12Cr13 Stainless Steel

چکیده

Abstract This research aimed to study the induction in-situ heated hybrid friction stir welding (IAFSW) method join AA5052 aluminium alloy with X12Cr13 stainless steel (SS) enhance joint strength. The potency of this on mechanical properties and microstructural characterizations were also investigated. results show that transverse tensile strength gained was 94% base metal is 229.5 MPa. superior achieved due annealing happened AA 5052 region elevated plastic flow in weld zone by heating, which resulted elongation region. microstructure characterization indicates a refined grain structure nugget without defects.
